Columbus Realtors Early Closure 11/24/21 Columbus Realtors will be closing early today (11/24/21) at 3pm EST. As a reminder, the office will be closed 11/25 and 11/26 for Thanksgiving. Safety Alert: Agent receives offensive call A female agent reported that she had received a very disgusting call from a man who said his name was Jessie James and he was looking to purchase a property in Albany, Ohio. She asked did he mean New Albany and he said yeah, but he clearly didn’t sound familiar with our area. He also said he got her number from Realtor.com and claimed to be preapproved for $250,000. During the conversation, she heard him start to pleasure himself and she hung up the phone. He called back saying he forgot to give her his email address, which he had not. Jessiejames1969@yahoo.com was the address he gave her on the initial call, and jessiejames1989@yahoo.com is the address he gave the second time he called. He called back a third time saying he was not finished. He called from (917) 634-7393. The agent asked to alert colleagues to beware if this man contacts them.

Attention MLS Brokers – MLS Committee Election – Voting Ends December 2nd On 11/22/21, eligible MLS Participants (Principals) were sent an email reminder to vote for the 2022 MLS Committee members. If you are the official MLS Participant (Principal Broker), you can proceed directly to the Member Portal to vote. There is a link below and in the email but you do not need the email in order to vote. Broker Participants (only) will find the ballot on the Member Portal under the “Notifications” section in the middle of the screen or the “Voting” link at the top. How to vote in the Director Election The Columbus REALTORS® annual Director Election is now open and will be available through Nov. 9 (11:59a). There are 8 members vying for the four 3-year terms that begin Jan. 1, 2022. Unlike previous years, members eligible to vote do not need a ‘personalized’ email. All you have to do is login to the Member Portal and you’ll see the ‘Vote now’ button in the Notifications. Logging into the Portal – Your login is your license number, and your password is probably “cbr” (or “CBR”) unless you’ve changed it. You can also use the “Forgot Password” to reset your password provided you use the email address on file with Columbus REALTORS®. If you have problems accessing the Member Portal, please contact us.

Flexmls Email Delay – RESOLVED ***UPDATE Oct 28, 10:05 PM*** From Flexmls Support: The email backlog has been cleared. ***UPDATE Oct 28, 5:09 PM*** From Flexmls Support: Outbound message delivery has resumed for the Flexmls system. It will take some time for backlogged/queued messages to be delivered. Original Post: Emails sent from the Flexmls system are currently delayed. Please note that the messages are not lost, they are just delayed. Once the issue has been resolved the backlog of messages will be delivered to recipients. Our provider tells us that outbound outbound message delivery has resumed, but is not yet fully operational. Any updates will be provided once available.

Power Outage: Columbus Realtors As of 12:00PM EST, 10/28/21, The Columbus Realtors main office is experiencing an electrical power outage. Services hosted by vendors such as the MLS and Supra are not affected, but the office will not be able to respond to calls/emails until the power is restored. AEP has yet to provide an ETA for restoration. We thank you for your patience and we will respond to all voicemail/emails ASAP upon power restoration.
