Hotspot/Mobile Users: “bmi_load” Errors on Tempo Tempo users accessing the MLS via mobile/celluar “hotspot” devices may see increased amount of ‘bmi_load’ reset errors: Error level: 0x00000001 Error Message: JS Exception caught in http://sef.cbrmls.columbusrealtors.com/5.7.05.31228/Header/Header.asp – Window.OnError: ‘bmi_load’ is undefined in line 65 [w3wp(5176)] http://www.cbrmls.columbusrealtors.com/Tools/AMF/EventDictionary.asp Error level: 0x00000001 Error Message: JS Exception caught in http://sef.cbrmls.columbusrealtors.com/Default.asp – Window.OnError: ‘bmi_load’ is undefined in line 182 [w3wp(5176)] http://www.cbrmls.columbusrealtors.com/Tools/AMF/EventDictionary.asp These particular errors occur for users accessing Tempo using HotSpot mobile service provided by Sprint and possible others carriers as well. The cause of the errors is due to HotSpot directing users through a proxy server that is injecting JavaScript (JS). CoreLogic is actively pursuing possible solutions. In the meantime we recommend users experiencing this error use Fusion which is not affected by this issue. Alternatively, users can contact their mobile ISP (Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc) and see if they can provide a solution.

Fusion Users: Rectangle Polygon Shape – Bug Causes Map Search Failure Fusion users who frequently use polygons should be aware that the Rectangle polygon search may cause problems and even search failure. Only the Rectangle polygon causes the problems. This does not appear to affect Multi-facet and Radius polygon shapes at this time. PLEASE NOTE: It is highly recommended that Fusion users AVOID using Rectangle polygon map shapes until this bug is fixed. Users can use the “Polygon Tool” to make a 4-sided polygon that is identical to a Rectangle polygon. The Rectangle Tool itself should not be used for map searching. If a Radius or Multi-sided (Multi-facet) polygon is combined with a Rectangle polygon shape, all polygons in that search may fail. The problem is magnified when the polygons are moved or edited. At this time, the Rectangle polygon shape bug does not appear to affect Tempo, only Fusion.

Windows 8: Tempo Users – More Compatible This an update to the Windows 8/Internet Explorer article also on the MLS Welcome Screen. This is specifically for Tempo users on the MLS. Tempo compatibility with Windows 8 is still not 100%, but has much improved after a recent update. Tempo/Fusion received a patch Thursday, December 6, 2012 that fixed a large number of bugs and errors for Tempo users on Windows 8. Windows 8 is not yet recommended for use with Tempo, but the majority of MLS functionality should be available now to Windows 8 users who choose to use Tempo. Fusion will still function better than Tempo, but there is much improved Tempo performance since the original “do not use” warning. REMINDER: The Metro browser in Windows 8 is still not supported for Fusion or Tempo. You must use the desktop browser (IE10) within Windows 8. If you are a Tempo user with Windows 8, please call or email MLS Technical Support if you encounter issues with Tempo on Windows 8.
Previous Warning (Prior to December 6, 2012): Tempo has some fairly severe issues with Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 10 currently. In the Windows 8 compatibility article, there are several recommendations to maximize compatibility. That said, there are still real problems using Tempo even if all steps are correctly taken to maximize compatibility. For this reason, Fusion is recommended for all Windows 8 users. Tempo is not recommended currently. If you have already upgraded to Windows 8, Fusion is the best solution at this time. If you are considering upgrading to Windows 8 and intend to use Tempo as you primary access to the MLS, you may want to delay upgrading to Windows 8. Marketlinx continues to work at correcting any incompatibilities with Tempo.

Windows 8 and IE 10 Compatibility Warning Windows 8 – Friday, October 26 – This new version of Windows includes a new version of Internet Explorer. This new version, IE10, can be run in two different modes within Windows 8. Marketlinx does not recommend updating to Windows 8 at this time for compatibility reasons.
NOTE: Even in Internet Explorer on the Desktop (the supported IE10 version) you will need to enable COMPATIBILITY MODE/VIEW. Without Compatibility View, frequent Errors may be experienced. TEMPO is supported in IE10 in Desktop mode only. Users who attempt to login to TEMPO using the native Metro mode will see a warning at the bottom of their screen that the site uses add-ons that require Internet Explorer on the desktop. This alert displays only on the first page accessed during each session. Users must click the Open button and launch the Desktop mode of IE10 for all features of TEMPO to function as expected. If users ignore this warning and choose to use the Metro version, they will still be able to access TEMPO, but not all features will work as expected. FUSION is also supported in IE10 in Desktop mode only. Users who access Fusion using the native Metro mode will see the same warning at the bottom of their screen. Because the Fusion login screen requires Flash and the Metro mode does not support Flash, users will not even have the option of accessing Fusion with this mode. All public-facing pages, such as Contact Websites (client gateways) and emailed reports, function as expected in both modes of IE10 and no warning is displayed to the user.

MLS Update: CMA Wizard in Fusion…More Watch online: CMA Wizard Tutorial Video Several new features and enhancements have been added to Fusion as of October 17, 2012. Most notably, the CMA Wizard is now available in Fusion. A “save as PDF” option has also been added. Read the list of notable changes below. Please note: If you experience a blank, gray screen (no gadgets) when you login to Fusion, you may need to hit the refresh button at the top of the browser window. If that doesn’t work, you may need to empty your cache. Call CBR Tech Support if you need assistance emptying your cache. Recent Fusion Enhancements:
A video tutorial will be added to http://wdwpy.com in the coming days to help users understand and use the new Fusion CMA Wizard. The basic functions are very similar to the CMA Wizard in Tempo. Tempo users who have transitioned to Fusion will likely have very little difficulty learning the Fusion version of CMA Wizard. The primary difference is the ability to upload PDF documents for inclusion in the CMA.

School District Labels Enhancement The conversion of the School District field in the MLS to the new, enhanced school district labels has begun. When completed, the school district field will contain all school districts in the state of Ohio in the format below. The new school district Short Code will include 2 parts:
The new school district Description will include 3 parts:
The decades-old School District field is being updated with more accurate and concise school district labels. The old school district names included only the name of the school and often incorrect spellings and cryptic abbreviations. Here is an example of the old and new school district labels:
This complete revision of all school districts will take place in phases over the coming weeks. The first phase has already completed. During the process, you will notice a mixture of the old Short Code and the new Description. These changes will roll in slowly over the coming weeks. The last phase will include the more complicated renaming and remapping of duplicated school districts with the same name in multiple counties. You do not need to make changes to your listings at this time. The renaming should only update the newly enhanced label for the school district already selected for your listing. If for some reason the incorrect school district was selected at time of listing, this change will NOT correct the school as entered by the listing agent. This is a good time to verify that your listings have the correct school district selected per the auditor record.

Tri Valley School District Fixed in Muskingum County Tri Valley Local School District in Muskingum county has been relabeled as part of the initial phase of School District label enhancement, All listings that were incorrectly labeled due to the broken “TR” code for school district have been fixed. All Tri Valley listings now correctly display the following description:
This is the new standard format that all MLS school districts will use going forward. Tri Valley LSD is a Muskingum county school district that is commonly used by many CBRMLS agents. Tri Valley LSD is in the market area of many Licking county members. A previous glitch has made it very difficult to distinguish Tri Valley LSD from Tri County North LSD in Preble county or Tri Village LSD in Darke county. These counties all had the same short code of TR. This update fixes the issue with all 3 of these school districts
