Please be aware the Franklin County Recorder and Auditor’s offices will be closed for maintenance October 12, 13, 14, and 19.  The building closure will also cause disruption to online services during this period. The affect on internet searches will range from sporadic unavailability to complete inaccessibility according to the schedule below:

Schedule of Franklin Co. Auditor/Recorder Internet Downtime:

• Saturday, October 12th: 7am-7pm – Sporadic outages of all applications supported by the Data Center.
• Sunday, October 13th: 6am-(end time unknown) – Complete system outage.
• Monday, October 14: 7am-7pm- Sporadic outages of all applications supported by the Data Center.
• Saturday, October 19th – 6am-(end time unknown)- Complete system outage.

Ever think about serving on the MLS Committee?    The MLS Committee is an elected committee with a limited number of seats determined by a weighted formula based on the MLS’s agents, listings, solds and offices.   The number of seats available can change each year based on this formula or elected members whose term ends.  Visit this page for more detailed information on this process.

Follow these steps to throw your hat in the ring:

1. Obtain permission from your broker to be considered for the ballot.
2. Submit a brief bio or resume (including photo) by October 31, 2013 at 5:00pm to the MLS at Columbus Realtors®

Your bio and resume will be presented to the MLS Nominating Committee at the Annual Business Meeting.   The five selected Realtors® that serve on the Nominating Committee then meet in November to select candidates.  A ballot is created for the December election where only brokers vote.   Members who wish to volunteer their time to serve are very much in demand by the Nominating Committee and always appreciated.

The issue with detail report display has been resolved as of 815pm Saturday night.

If you are still seeing blank reports or “Error Generating page”, you may need to empty your cache or simply refresh the page, log out and then back into the MLS.

The detail view In MLS is currently not functioning correctly.The full detail view (A2A Remarks) reports in Tempo or Fusion are both effected.  Either a blank page or a page with “Error Generating Page. try again later” will be displayed. This error will also prevent printing of the reports as well as print preview.The errors began appearing shortly before 5pm Saturday afternoon.

The vendor has been notified and is currently working to resolve the problem.

The MLS servers will have routine scheduled reboot on the morning of October 2^nd.  The system will be unavailable to Fusion and Tempo users.    All connections for 3^rd party vendors will also be offline.  The outage will last for approximately 30 minutes starting at 1 a.m EDT.

Schedule of Downtime October 2, 2013:
1 a.m. – All MLS servers offline and unreachable
1:30 a.m. – MLS and Vendor server connections restored.

Recently the MLS has received several reports of showings not being allowed on active listings.  Perhaps your client is having work done on their property which will prevent them from accepting showings for a week or having friends or relatives visit for a few days.  Regardless of the reason or time, the status of the listing then needs to be changed to the Temp off Market status until such time as showings can resume.  MLS policy states:

1.04.02 – Listing Submitted to MLS but Not Available for Showing                  $ 50 Data Maintenance Fee

All property submitted to MLS and appearing in active searches must be immediately available for sale, lease or exchange and/or showing. Property listed and required in MLS but not available for showings must be filed with MLS on the proper form (Office Exclusive Waiver Form) found on CBR’s web site at http://www.columbusrealtors.com. REALTOR® will receive an immediate warning. There shall be only one warning per licensee during each six-month period (Jan. – Jun. and Jul. – Dec.) Additional offenses of the identical data field occurring within the same six-month period (Jan. – Jun. and Jul. – Dec.) will be assessed an immediate data maintenance fee.

Changing the status is an easy click of the mouse and other REALTORS® will appreciate the notice.  Thanks for your cooperation.

Tempo and Fusion are both experiencing slowness and periods of complete inaccessibility as of 5pm on Friday, September 13.  The vendor has been notified of the problem, but no ETA has been established for restoration of full functionality.

Please check back frequently as full functionality may be restored at any time.

UPDATE: Full service appeared to be restored at about 7:30pm Friday, September 13th.

The Tempo and Fusion image/photo servers had a problem late Thursday evening, September 12.  Images added or modified between approximately 10:00 pm ET and 9am Friday morning may need to be redone. Please check any image changes made near that time to ensure they display correctly on the MLS.  We apologize for any problems or inconvenience this may cause.

Realist Mobile will be avaible to all MLS members in the next day or two.  Realist Mobile is an app for iOS and Android phones only.  It will allow you to quickly and easily view Realist tax data for properties on your phone.  The properties can be located by typing in search criteria, or by simply using GPS location to see parcels near your location.

Next time you login to Realist, you will be greeted with a pop-op advertisement asking if you would like to sign up for Realist Mobile.  If you answer “no”, you will always be able to register for Realist Mobile at a later date, as there will be a link at the top right of the Realist window that says “Realist Mobile”.  REMINDER:  You must go to Realist and REGISTER prior to using Realist Mobile. (instructions at bottom)

Realist Mobile Tips:
1) You will be required to register and create a unique, Mobile-only username and password (similar to Kurio registration)
2) You will NOT be able to AUTOMATICALLY login with your MLS username and password.  Only the login and password you registered will work.  You CAN enter your MLS login credentials when you register.  Just remember, when the quarterly MLS password change occurs you must MANUALLY update your password on Realist Mobile.
3) The app is designed for phones, not tablets.  While the iPad “may” work, it may have formatting problems or behave strangely. (same for Android tablets)
4) The app must be downloaded from iTunes or Google Play stores prior to use.  The app is free.  NOTE: REGISTRATION required on the Realist homepage prior to launching the app!  Search for “Realist Mobile”.  On iTunes app store, make sure you look under “iPhone apps”, not iPad apps.  This app is NOT universal.  It is designed specifically for iPhone, not iPad.  (see #3 above).
5) Your EMAIL ADDRESS for retrieving your password will be the one you enter at time of registration.  Make sure you enter it carefully.  If you have to retrieve your password, that email address you entered will be very important.

The app is available now in the iTunes or Google app stores.  Remember to register on Realist prior to downloading and attempting to login to the app.  Your MLS username and password will NOT work for Realist Mobile unless that is what you registered.  Your email address entered at registration will be the only way to retrieve your password.  Make sure your email is correct!

To get to Realist to register:
1) login to Tempo or Fusion MLS.
2) While logged into the MLS, you then go to Public Records at the top, then click “Realist Tax Search”.
3) When Realist main window loads, you should see the registration pop-up.  If not, click Realist Mobile link at top right and register.  Then…go download the app!

Need help finding the correct “Corp Limit per Auditor” for your listings?  Videos available now on WDWPY.com!

New tutorial videos have been created to walk you through step-by-step locating and verifying the correct Corp Limit on the county auditor’s website.  An individual video has been created for each county.  Currently there are six videos.  Additional videos will be added for each of the 13 counties covered by Realist.
